Planting the First Seed: My Reiki Healing Journey Begins
Hello and welcome to the first blog post of The Reiki Healing Tree.
Every tree begins with a seed. It may lie dormant for a while, buried beneath layers of time, uncertainty, or even pain. But eventually, something stirs—a little warmth, a little light—and the seed begins to grow. For me, that seed was Reiki.
I would like to share how I arrived at this point of my Reiki healing path. I was just learning about being a modern druid back in 2010. One of the stores that I frequently bought spiritual supplies from had a massage therapist that was also a Reiki healer. I started having sessions with her that both massage and Reiki were given. To be honest, at the time, it only felt like something was pulling at my feet. I would feel much better after the session. After a year, the store had a Reiki teacher offering Reiki one. I signed up and received basic knowledge of Reiki healing and it’s history. I also received my Reiki one attunement.
At the time, I wasn’t really thinking of starting a practice. I just hoped it would help me with working with energy in my druidic practice. It had a minimal effect. The biggest use that I got out of Reiki one was when my stepmother was dying of cancer, and I would give her some Reiki healing. Once she passed away, I stopped using it for a long time.
During the pandemic, I was laid off and not a lot happening in my field. With the extra money being given through unemployment, I decided to get my Reiki 2 and Master attunements. Each attunement gave me more sensitivity to energy.
In 2022, when I was employed again, I decided to start a side Reiki healing practice. First decision, what to name my Reiki practice. I couldn’t think of anything. I decided to try meditating and asking for assistance. I went into the arboretum that is just up the street to find a tree to meditate by. After an hour, I started walking one of the paths and came upon an unusual grouping, three oak trees merging into one tree. That has a connection to my spirituality. The oak tree is a sacred tree for druids and I honor Brigid, a Celtic goddess who was given sainthood by the church, who is also considered a triple goddess.
Currently, I have no office, I either go to clients homes or setup at pagan or holistic health fairs. Once a month, I setup at Sarah’s Emporium at 58 Main St, Spencer, Ma. I am usually there the third Sunday from 10:30-3. You can schedule an appointment through her website at https://www.sarahsemporiumunique.com/book-online or by phone at 774-757-8237. You can also leave a message for me at 774-345-9460 or email me at george@tripleoakreiki.com. I will be happy to answer any questions about Reiki healing. I also do Reiki one and 2 attunements.
In future posts, I plan to share Reiki healing stories, reflections from healing sessions and nature wisdom.
With love and light,
George, Reiki Master
